My water pump might be taking a poop as it is leaking on the bottom side directly onto the opti

So I am thinking about doing the electric pump conversion. Anyone else running one? Or have experience's good or bad with them on our LTx engines?

First off, you might wanna change out that opti now. Or take it apart and clean it out and let it dry really well. As for the EWP, I have heard that they don't last very long at all.

I've heard very good things about the EWP's. It's more of a personal choice, i doubt you will feel any extra power. They cool better in traffic, but not quite aswell at highway speeds.sigpic1994 Camaro Z28 83K M6, CAI, AFR 190cc, 11.6:1, Hooker headers, Hooker ORY, Mangnaflow exhaust, AI 230/238, 1.6 RR, B&M Short throw, Hays clutch, 4.10 gear.

manuals should be launched off the limiter and the throttle shouldn't leave the floor til 10 feet after the finish line

Any thoughts on the opti? Since it did get some water/colant on it as long as I let it sit to dry out before trying to start it it should be fine right? Here's a sig with my old ride: (Everyone else has a cool sig I had to do something!)

We put one on Red's Stoker and she isn't having any problems.
We went with a CSR pump.

Just dry the opti up real good, i would at least try it before you just dismiss it. If it's giving you problems then you'll have to look into replacing it.sigpic1994 Camaro Z28 83K M6, CAI, AFR 190cc, 11.6:1, Hooker headers, Hooker ORY, Mangnaflow exhaust, AI 230/238, 1.6 RR, B&M Short throw, Hays clutch, 4.10 gear.

I do - i have a CSR.Originally posted by sman View PostI believe joel has one too, dont think he has any problems either.
Honestly i kinda regret it. Its been a pain in the ass. Ive blown to relays, so i ditched that setup which was supposed to be the safer way to wire it. Now its wired direct to the fusebox. Also the wire clip it comes with is junk, that has fallen apart on me a couple times and the pump shut off, so make sure you snip that and hard wire it.
Beyond that though, i cant complain - its done exactly what i expected. The unit itself is great, its making the wiring reliable that has been my issue. Many people have not had problems at all but i certainly havent had a reliable experience thus far. The other thing is i want to auto cross my car in the future, which makes the EWP a poor choice for my car.
I might go back to mechanical if the EWP cant keep it cool enough in auto-x.-Joel

def change that man, mine were blowing out at the stock 15 they gave me, I upgraded them all to 20. and then the circuit breaker to a 30, next time we meet up ill show you how they want it to be done, It looks good, and it works hell of a lot better, i noticed when i ran mine off the a/c it didnt run at full power for some reason, soon as i ran its own power and ground she perked up quite a bit.Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View Postwell now im scared more because its on my 15 amp AC fuse.
