Ok guys heres the problem maybe some of you know whats up.

On my old set up (in sig but with a jet stage 2 chip) i ran a 12.8 and it was dying off a little at the top end and at my 2-3rd shift. So i took off the chip taking some of your guys advice and reset my comp and it seems to run a lot better when shifting and felt/sounded like it was more powerful on the street. I also changed the trans fluid. Then I took it to the track today and well it sucked horribly. My frist few run were 13.9 and a 14.0 which is even slower than a stock ls1 so i knew something was definitly up. Its lapeer and I was hoping the might have screwed up on the time but no, so I had my bro take it out and the same thing for him, I was spinning in first like i usually do with those crappy street tires but not bad enough to cause those times. I can usually hit 91+ mph at the 1/8th but I was at 81-83. And barely making it to a 100 if that by the quarter.
The shifts felt a little soft the 3rd and 4th run and my bro felt the same. I check the fluid and it still looks brand new and didnt smell burnt so I dont think its the trans. My guess its something to do with my comp and I am going to take it over to check the codes. Sorry for the long post I am just trying to give as much info as possible. Has this happened to anyone else before? What do you guys think is wrong?

How did weather conditions compare from this run to the 12.8 run? Same track?

It was a little warmer, Same track, the 12.8 run was mid 60s about the same humidity, today was about 70 which actually helped my traction

There was a stock hunter orange ss running 13.5s so I know it was me and not just a bad day for everyone.

Hmmm I dunno what it could be, maybe you should have brought the chip to do a good comparison with and without it but something may have gone wrong with the PCM for some odd reason.

Yeah I am stopping in first thing tomorrow morning to see if it is throwing any codes and I'll let you know if that's the problem or if I need to leave it for a few days for it to get looked at. Hopefully its an easy fix...

91 in the 1/8 is like an 11.70 car. Lapeers 1/8 mph have always been about 2-3 mph high. Maybe they fixed it this year

Yeah I can understand them being off but I know I am not a 14 sec car regardless of my mph, I can remember my 1/8 mph at Milan last year but I was running 13.3s at 106 with my flowmaster on instead of my LM2 and a ton of tire tack... it was like velcro.

I was curious and started to look around and noticed my MAF was dirty so I am going to clean it and still check to see if any other codes might have been thrown.

Make sure you clean the MAF with a special solution I think you can pick it up at Radioshack or else you may mess it up I know those thins are very anal.

Yeah I know, I'll probably have my friends do it while they are clearing the codes... or i'll do it while i wait i know they have the stuff to clean it and they will let me use it. After all I practically lived there the last few years, if it wasnt my car in getting worked on it was someone else in my family

haha on the durability test cars at work we use water to clean the maf's. They get covered in salt so bad the car won't run

Yeah it looks like its just a dirty MAF that was the cause, when i recharged my K&N it had some excess oil that came off when driving so I will get some cleaner. I dont have my car right now its getting its front bumper repainted again for free, the shop screwed up the first time, so I am driving my jeep around for a week or so. But after that I am up for a little racing at 131.
