    hey!

well the bird is having some other issues now. the window quit working, so i had my friend take a look at it. he said it was probably the motor. he took the door panel off and proceeded to remove the motor. well, when he did that entire piece fell apart?! does anyone have a picture of how this should go back together? i'm wondering why it just fell apart like that!

    thank you!

Do you mean the rest of the window went crashing down into the door?

no, the window is ok. the part that the window rides on fell apart. the regulator? it's weird.

Usually they are pretty self explainatory? Did a part of the regulator snap or break? If so you might need a new one of those as well. Most regulators only have a handful of bolts holding them together so it shouldn't be too complicated. If he still can't figure it out I think I can look it up on one of our shop computers to find a diagram.

Is it your passenger window? If so I highly recommend you install the autotrix.net passenger window rewire kit while the door is apart. I have done this to four fbodies, and it greatly increases the longevity of the window motor life and makes it go up and down a ton faster by giving the motor direct power.

I just bought a new regulator and motor today and it's being installed as we speak. Driver side just went out last night on the way home from work. Needless to say I was pissed.
