Lol alot of pros
No need for turbo headers
Less heat, wont really need an intercooler
my dad told me front mounted ones are more efficient becuse of the whole piping the distance of the car but the rear mounts are exposed to heatsigpic

just because its mounted in the rear I would still never run a boosted car without an intercooler, why blow unecessary hot heat into the motor at all times
Anyhow those kits can be made for dirt cheap, start doing research.

its perfectly fine to run a rear mount without an after or intercooler because the piping going up to the front will cool the intake air. it would be perfectly fine if your only going to be pushing like 7psi but once you start to jump up the pressure your going to want to cool the air. it just depends on how much you want to push.

Agreed...the rear mounts are known for not making big PSI, but it is likely the most cost effective way of turbo'ing a car.Originally posted by ba94ta View Postits perfectly fine to run a rear mount without an after or intercooler because the piping going up to the front will cool the intake air. it would be perfectly fine if your only going to be pushing like 7psi but once you start to jump up the pressure your going to want to cool the air. it just depends on how much you want to push.
And there's the stealth factor...many people won't know you have it until it's too late and they're staring at that single exhaust pipe (most of the time).
But I don't think I'd have one of these as a year 'round DD in Michigan...winters could get ugly...

Yup...agreed again...Originally posted by ba94ta View Postyes there are many pros and cons to both front mount and rear mount but i would have to say rear mount would be the easiest compared to a front mount. and a con to rear mounts you need that expensive oil scavenge pump. we could go on for days talking about the pros and cons....Originally posted by Redd8407I WANT NOISE! An intercooler is ALWAYS a good idea IMO and I personally wouldn't run without one even using 5lbs. Rear mounts aren't know to push less boost either guys I can give you several examples of guys with LSx cars running plenty of boost and running great times. You can even run anti-lag with a rearmount and get almost instant spool, I would highly consider one.Doing less with more
