  • 4th gen rear end change

for starters it was really simple. and only took one person.
but soon as a bolt broke i sliced my hand open with the breaker bar cause air tools were not strong enough lol.

anyhow, I will update as i go. heres pictures.
also didn't take a picture but the old axle has tons of metal shavings in it, i may take a picture later.

And theres pictures of the new rear end.

Looks good. As long as you have air tools or power tools, it's not as bad but damn the rusted bolts in mine SUCKED! I think my dad and I both agree - the worst part about my whole LT1 swap project this past winter was the rear end swap. It was the most frustrating and the most time consuming single tasks (IE: unbolting the rear LCAs took forever, unbolting the panhard bar took forever, unbolting the shocks took forever, etc).

took me one day, the breaker bar snapped all the bolts. the passenger side was the worst cause i had to lift up and the damn axle wanted to lift as well.

should be fun putting it back in soon as i can find replacement bolts
