Going from 3.73 to 3.42, Speedo gonna be faster or slower?

any reason your going to 3:42 and not back to a 3:73? I'd love to get 3:73 in my car...

Cash. Got a entire replacement axle in mint condition for $75
It came with 3.42's TCS and ABS.

The interesting thing is that I swear 97+ speedometers are able to self-calibrate. My 94 speedometer was 5 mph off when I changed my rims and tires, but when I put the 97+ instrument cluster in, it was dead on after I drove around for awhile. Even after the LT1 swap, I don't think Steve ever changed the tune for the gear ratio and size tires to calibrate my LT1 speedometer but it reads perfectly - drove by the radar screen on Adams between 15 and 16 Mile Rd and it matched.

I wonder..... Mine seems about right today.... I'll have to double check it.

Yeah a Hyper tech power programer will reprogram the ecu. Just select the rearend you have. It's a handy little device. Best $339.00 I've spent.

I'm going to open up the axle this weekend, it's already been swapped out for a new used axle..... I'm planning on fixing it and keeping it for a backup again,
