Exhaust Manifold Bolt Broke

Neither my BBK's nor my Hooker's used the bolts on either end.

Well i guess I'm gonna pull the manifold this weekend and hopefully theres enough bolt stickin out to remove it. I really don't want to pull the head.

I've also read somewhere that another removal method if the bolt is broken off flush is to build a bead of weld on the bolt so it sticks out about half an inch. Then put a nut over the the bead and weld it to the bead, then remove it with a wrench?

Does anyone think i can get a welder in there with the head on the car???

your right about headers, the heads have 2 holes at the ends, headers use the holes closest to the exhaust port. So maybe you got lucky.

Mmmkay apparently not only does it depend on the brand but it also depends on the car. I'm almost positive that headers only use the bolt closest to the port, not the bolt hole further away - that's why if you buy the gaskets you have to get "Header gaskets" because those have the correct hole stamped out whereas the "Exhaust Manifold gaskets" have the hole covered and use the hole furthest away from the port.
