  • need help!! ms4 cam bogging issues..

so heres what im running into. i did a ms4 cam, with heads and intake on a buddys car about a month ago. brought it to vector for tuning. car ran great for about 2 days. after that it started hitting a flat spot between 2000 - 3000 rpm. it has about a 1 to 2 second delay after cracking the trottle at idle. idles perfect and after 3000 rpm will still get up and go. it doesnt matter if the car is in park or in drive it still does the same thing. ive replaced the tps sensor and map sensor and still no change. ive talked to a guy from katech and he mentioned a possible bad maf sensor and ive thought of the same thing. its just kind of a exspensive part to throw at it and not to mention if not replaced with whats ont he car the whole car must be retuned and calibrated to a new maf. has anyone run into this problem or might have an idea of whats going on???

what intake and TB? If its a FAST then its probably the shaft of the TB hitting the tps sensor as it moves around. If not then borrow a MAF and see if that helps.

its a bbk with 80 mm tb. we actually sent it back to bbk because it was loose causing incorrect tps readings and thats when we noticed the problem. now that we got the tb back and replaced the tps sensor it runs a little better but still has a delay. ive tried to get ahold of a maf sensor and i dont know anyone who has that style maf sensor.

and also if the maf sensor is disconnected the throttle response is better but surges at idle and not driveable.

if you disconnect the MAF and it goes away then that is your problem. What type is it? Stock is always best.

Shoot BLKHAWK a PM on here. If it was tuned at Vector, he's more than likely the guy that tuned it. He might know exactly what would cause that.

its a stock maf that hasnt been descreened. steve did the tuning and when the problems started to occur he noticed the tps problem and thats it. he was kinda baffled on what was going on. i was at vector last week talkin to steve about the car. i will be there tomm to pick up my pcm for my car and i possibly might bring the car on by there to.
