The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Some of you might have seen some of hte pics in my previously posted threads but I figured while I was under the car I should take these. So... here they are. They're just meant for reference and to get a visual of what's under the car. Maybe for exhaust routing, placement of lines, etc.
Oh! your talking about the shift cable. That was changed after he took pics. He had to bend the wire around the shift cable and the clamp because the cable was broke and wouldn't stay in the clamp. that was fix to be able to get to meet & greet. All fixed now.

Yup - I was just starting to pull out from the driveway to drive to Angie's on May 29th (Friday before the Meet & Greet) and I realized the shifter was not lining up with the gear the transmission was in. Put the car on the ramp and sure enough the two plastic clips were broken. Since I was suppose to be getting to Angie's house, we just temp rigged it to get to the Meet & Greet. Only lasted one week, but when I yanked the cable out to put a replacement in, it was still damned solid against the bracket. On an interesting note, the '97 TA shift cable that Dan [mcssmostwanted] gave me has a big metal clip to lock the shift cable into the bracket compared to the 94-95 that has just two plastic clips.
Hardly! I close it about 3/4th closed when I drive around town. It's nice having the throat of the cutout on demand. When I'm in the neighborhood I close it all the way.
maybe you could start a new thread (and sorry for the hijack here) but I dont think I have heard it with the cut out closed! If you get some free time I'd be interested to hear a a vid of both wide open and completly closed, just to compare.

You need a new exhaust system, and it'll be louder.
I think the only place I closed mine was when I got to my street, so my mom wouldn't hear it...
