Is there a write up on an LS1 dash swap to an LT1? I've searched and came up with nothing. Thanks guys!

Wrong, 97s got the interior updated to the new style, INCLUDING the dash. 1998 brought the ls1 and the exterior revamp.

Thanks Fred. I'll have to look through it all when I get home. I wonder if it's worth it all.

                all depends what you want

IMO the 97+ is much more functional and is definitely made with a better quality material, however i personally prefer the fighter jet look of the LT1 dash - but its gotta be in good condition. Lots of LT1 dashes are faded and look like hell already due to the cheap plastic. LT1 style also has a GREAT cubbie to mount gauges in.

Yeah, mine wasn't really a write-up as much as a picture documentary- not really that great for reference.

The cardomain I linked you to has a good writeup for the dash harness conversion.

Otherwise, it's pretty straight forward - remove everything from the 93-96 and install the 97+. Also - make sure you buy a 1997 gauge cluster specifically. 98+ won't work, it HAS to be a 97 because that's still an LT1 gauge cluster.
