Alright, while driving around today I decided to give it a little gas (and by little gas I mean WOT) anyways, i was going about 20 in 2nd gear, hit it, car down shifted, went off the limiter a few times hit 2nd gear then spun all the way through. My question is why does it go off the limiter like it does? Is it because of wheel spin? Thanks

It could be a
It could be a problem with the output shaft speed sensor. The upshift point is commanded when the oss revolutions match up with the programmed parameters. They are quite common to blank out intermittently. They are cheap and easy to change. It's located on the tail housing.

Well the ****ing trans guy didn't say shit about that and I don't have any other problems other than when I'm at WOT. So I highly doubt that. Correct me if I'm wrong Mike, but if it was slipping wouldn't the fluid smell burnt?2015 Silverado

well i actually just went threw thew same problem with my buddys car. i kept tuning and changing the shift points. come to find out he was 2 quarts low on trans fluid. he had just also had the trans rebuilt. once fluid was topped off the car no longer bounces the rev limiter. no gears had been changed in the car or tires sizes. we had first checked the fluid and it was full. after a few days we rechecked and it was low. there were no leaks in the system. it takes a little for all the air pockets to bleed out of the system.Lsx swapped
