Well yesterday i went home from work hoping to change my oil, seafoam the car, and clean the air filter. Well on my way home i hit a big bump and the car was riding pretty stiff. Well took it easy going home got out and looked at all my wheels. I then saw that my passenger side rear wheel gap between the wheel and the wheel opening for the fender was about half an inch. The other side had a gap closer to 4.5 inches. So i'm pretty upset considering i saved up enought money to paint my car. Well i ended up buying two billstein shocks, and two MOOG rear coil springs in order to fix the problem, for a total of 270 bucks. Just thought i would share the problems i'm having as well. Looks like memorial day weekend will be fixing the car.

Dale - my dad and I were talking... is the wheel gap from the top of the wheel to the fender or is it from the side of the wheel to the side of the fender? In other words - is the gap up and down or left/right?- Brian Meissen

The Gap is up/down. It's funny though because then today i noticed on level ground the gap is not as different as it was the other day, so i'm still wondering what it is really. The alignment looks good, and the lca is still in it's correct place, which is why it's messing with me so much. Well anyways parts should be here tomorrow. So I hope to start tearing her apart tomorrow to see what is in store for me. Any suggestions don't be afraid to let em fly. Thanks guys.sigpic

Get PB Blaster. Lots and lots of PB Blaster. And have a cutter on hand to cut through the bolts if need be
...Seriously.
My dad was thinking it was left/right and that's why he mentioned the LCAs. If it's an up/down uneven gap it could be the shocks, springs, or maybe the panhard bar got wedged down or up and is tilting the rear end.- Brian Meissen

Well i replaced the shocks and the springs and looks much better. I think i had a weak spring on the passenger side corner. Before on mild bumps i could hear the panhard bar hitting the exhaust piping. Well now after changing out the springs with MOOG springs, and some Billestein shocks it rides great and i don't hear the noise anymore. Oh and on another positive note i have to give a big thanks to Tonic for the ss hood he sold me. It looks good and i can't wait to start painting my car.sigpic
