  • Grinding Noise

I have a 1995 3.4 v6 automatic. when the car sitts overnight and i go to start it in the morning it doesnt want to start. It turns over like normal but it pudders out and makes a grinding noise. if I get it started and then go some where and try to start it its fires right up. only when sitting. if anyone has any idea please let me know. thanks

check your starter. Check and see if your oil is low, then check if your starter is covered in oil.

If it grinds while turning over, it could be a bad starter...

Advance Auto Parts or Autozone will test your starter for you. . . You have to remove it, but if that's what's bad, then you can turn it in right there instead of having ot pay the core charge. . . Mine starts right up everytime. That's really unusual for such a high-performance engine. . . lol

There is nothing really unusual about it. It happens with lots of cars and since his is a 95, there is 11 years of wear there. Actually a common thing if it is drove alot...
