Hey guys I have been pretty busy working on the car and I didn't want to spoil the surprise for my friends cause some of them are on here.. So I finally dropped an LS1 M6 into my car a couple weeks ago. My issue is that the motor is running to lean, I get the codes p0171B and p0174B any help to point me in the right direction would be great! Thanks guys, I'll have pics up soon

I don't have a book to look up those codes, but associating changing trans and now this problem my first choice is o2 sensors because of relative position with work being done on trans.sigpic

The codes read Bank 1 and Bank 2 are lean and I swapped all the wires off of the wrecked car onto mine so I don't have a problem with changing the trans. It could be o2 sensors, but both of them be bad at the same time?

so you have a new engine harness you swapped with trans? What about o2's same ones you have been useing? But I'm thinking you'll need to reprogram the ecu for the trans and maybe difference in wire harness might require different o2 tables. I have heard they are touchy down to wire length but don't know for sure. Well this is what I did, I bought a wrecked LS1 car and swapped everything from it into mine, I didn't use any v6 parts at all, so I'm dealing with a stock LS1 for now.

Ok! so ecu, harness, engine, trans, exhaust, etc is all from doner car. So no need to program ecu. I am not sure what else would lean out you car besides o2's but I am not that familiar to LS1's.sigpic

Ok thanks, i was thinking injectors cause the car sat for 3 years, so I ran BG fuel injector cleaner (very strong stuff) and after some driving the light shut off and now came back on. It runs a little rough at idle, like it would be misfiring, but I didn't see it misfiring on my scan tool. I may try new injectors or O2 sensors.

Hey Larry I was hopping you would stop in, I talked to Dave at Milosch Dodge and he told me that you know everything about LS1's. But anyways yes I have the v8 fuel pump in, and it holds constant pressure, I think it was at like 55psi, I'll check that again tonight. All my vacuum lines are hooked up, I didn't hear any leaks, I'm going to pressure test the vacuum system today. I didn't touch the pcv valve, so I'm gonna pick a new one up today on my way home from school and see what happens.Originally posted by 1BADAIR View Postis the pump and everything from the v8 car?
