  • Subframe bushings HELP!!!

I'm in the process of getting my ripped old rear A-arm bushings out but they need to be pressed out, I've hit them with a sledge hammer and they don't even budge, And my press isn't strong enough.

Anyone know where i can get it done, Or can anyone do this?
My buddy has a shop that can do it, But hes a prick and always wants something for being a friend

this is honestly the only thing holding me from getting my car on the road sadly.

I do have a shop, but it's about 20 miles from the Madison Heights area. They'd do it for you though.

Probably stuck in because of rust. You should have seen the dent we put in the kframe beating the a-arm bolts out.

Seems like throwing 25 - 50 bucks to him for HIS trouble and time would be work the savings in gas and your time to go else where. Most places I think charge 38.00 to 45.00 per hour.

Ya, you may have to put some heat to them to get them out.

Read the instructions with the new ones, they should say if they have to be burned out or not.

the new ones didn't come with new bolts so i have to be careful, Its the bolts i cannot even get to come out there so rusty, I've been Spraying them with wd40 for a few days now, Hoping it will do something, If not i'll have to ask my (buddy) if he can do it, but he always wants one of my camaro parts in return....

WD-40 is not what you need...

We used PB blaster, then after it dryed up we heated the bushing up real good and then put a big wrench on the bolts and turned them until they loosened up enough to beat them out.

Is it the control arm you can't get to come out of the car? or the bushing out of the control arm? Nevertheless; Map gas and an air hammer is a combo I have not yet een beat. If you need to use one you can use mine (for free). I'm in Fenton and I do collision by trade.
