  • 700R4/4L60E Question

This has probably been asked before, but I'm gonna make it short and sweet. I'm at work and can't crawl under the car, found a deal for a new trans oil pan and wondering what (if any) are the differences between the 700R4 and 4L60E trans pans. In the description they mention the 4L60E as well as 700R, but you know Ebay. Better to get it here and see that it'll work, than get everything apart and find I'm screwed. Thanks!

Post up the link to the ad or to the pic - I'll tell you if it looks like mine. The 4L60e is a 700r4 that's electronically controlled so I would think the trans pan is the same.

B, just wanted to be sure and if memory serves, the backup thought helped out a lot. Ordered and on it's way! Thanks again, man!

There are 2 different 4L60E pans. A deep pan and a shallow pan. They take different filters as well...

I went with the shallow one, due to it being close to stock. Thanks.
