Have you checked every fuse in both boxes as well as the ones in the drivers side IP? At this point id just check them all, wouldnt take much time.

If you have a multimeter that can measure continuity, measure whatever wire runs from the passenger side shock tower to the coils.

My dad and I went over to Mike's house and troubleshooted what it was.

Man - that car sounded GOOD when it fired up!

Yup - when his car started and died it was probably because of the loose grounds. When he fixed the loose grounds, he probably popped both injector fuses. Fix one problem, made another one. Replaced the fuses and she fired right up!

Could this problem be similar to a 94 z28 that loses power randomly, and usually above 4g on acold engine and 3g on a warm engine?

Doesn't sound like it unfortunately? His problem was that the two injector fuses were blown.
