Really im thinking it has to be the VATS, what else is there, multiple coils dont go bad at the same time (usually). Let us know what the security light does on the dash.

Do the coils share the same ground or is that what those 3 grounds are that go to the back of the head? Could be the power going to the coils...

I'm trying to remember what I've read on the LT1 system that causes no spark. VATS will remove spark and I thought traction control removes spark... but I can't think of what else... Granted I know it's LS1 but still.

B, I believe that there is 1 ground for each set of coil packs, and that the 3rd ground depending on year, is either a harness ground, or doesnt exist.

the loose ground could have caused electrical/pcm failure

It COULD have, but I kind of doubt it, my car went through worse, not saying it isnt possible, just not probable. But i am running out of ideas here, haha.

Hmmm if the security light turns off it's not VATS. I can't think of anything else that should stop spark... do you have a multimeter to measure voltage?

Ok, on the C101 connector, on the passenger shock tower, (its the only white colored one) see if you have power to the pink wire (pin B) with the key on. If you have power there, then theres power to the coils. You want to check for power on the engine bay side, not the engine harness side.

im gonna borrow a multimeter again today, i tested that connector before it had power, but i think i tested from the harness side last time

i have a feeling somethings wrong with the fuel pump. when mine went out it caused huge power loss, ran for about a day that way then wouldn't start the next morning. i couldn't hear the pump prime with the key at on, so i called sean at CARS to come tow it back to his shop for a new sending unit. he unloaded it at the garage started it right up and said the numbers were all fine. luckily he tried to take it back out on the road again and it died right there, again. fuel pressures were giving different numbers, they appeared normal at idle - even after it didn't start for a few weeks. tried to get it on the road it cut right out again tho. moral of the story, they are very sporatic and can be hard to diagnose.

i really dont think its fuel pump related, Also tried a diff computer today of a 2001 tuned, bolton, auto car and it didnt help

mike I won't be able to make it today to much going on. Do you have a fuel pump pressure gauge? This seems to be the big clue, you have spark, if you open schrader valve you'll see gas shoot out, but may not be enough pressure for Injectors, you should have 45 to 55 lbs. If you have that then check to see if injectors are getting pulses, put meter on low voltage scale because pulses are short. While someone cranks car start with meter on 12v turn meter down in increments of meter selections to lower volts to see if your getting pulses to fire injectors. On a low voltage scale you will see meter fluctuate. It has to be 1 of the 3. spark, gas, injectors firing.
