  • 01 A4 SS wont start

I have a 01 camaro, that is not getting any spark, i have went through everything i can think of to try and diagnose this problem, and can't figure it out. Also the fuel pump is intermitent, it doesn't kick on, but odly when a autozone scan tool is plugged into the diagnostic port the fuel pump comes on. I live in Clinton Township, MI, and am willing to pay someone to come help me figure this out.

found a loose ground behind drivers side head, is that big bolt in the back of the head what its supposed to be hooked to?

lol I had the same exact problem so thats what I figured it was, yeah it connects to that bolt with like 2-3 other grounds.

                    Should be 3 grounds total.

Hmmm, interesting. Check a wiring diagram(I will if I get time tomorrow), and track down the power for those. Dumb question but did you check the white connector on the coil pack bracket?

                            check the PCM fuses.
if you had a loose ground electronic parts may have been damaged.

Possibly try another ignition key? If the resistor in the key fails the car would crank but you would not get any spark. Or disable the security system temporarily with tuning software like EFILive to eliminate this as a possible source of your problems. Just a thought....
