thats why i tell people not to bother with 35 and just get 15 or limo. youre gonna get pulled over anyway, might as well get what you want. like nate said: avoid suspicion by being blatantly obvious.

also it depends on the interior how dark windows look and what angle you take the picture at.

on the 94 formula i used to have i got the hatch tinted 5% and the doors tinted 10%. Had it like that for bout a year till i got pulled over. I was actually planning on getting the SS done here soon but definately not gonna go as aggressive as i did on the formula. im prolly gonna go with 35%-45%.

one thing i heard though (not sure if its true or not) is that the lighter you go with the tinting, the more purple color it gets from sun fading. anybody know if this is true?

if you have black seats etc etc the window tint looks darker... lighter the interior the lighter the tint looks

I had black to gold tint all the way around on my gold four door alero (except the windsheild of course) and got pulled over once by a state cop. She told me that 35% was the darkest you could go all the way around...also the sun turns your tint purple along with how long you have had it on the car. Brand might play a roll but i don't know.

Don't mean to argue but that's not true at all about the tint. State law says you can only have a 4" strip along the top of the front two windows and the windshield and whatever tint you want on the rear windows. Other than the 4" strip, any full window tint on the front windows are illegal.

Don't know about that, I'm just stating what the law is... no clue how it relates to vehicles coming from the factory.

Your factory windows are tinted, almost all of them. Look at the little black writing, it will say 65% or 70% guaranteed clarity or something similar.
