  • Need a brake shop in Grand Rapids

I have a leaking main brake line and it needs to be replaced asap. My buddy is supposed to do it for me but he has disappeard. Can anyone suggest somewhere in Grand Rapids that wont rape me? Or should I just take it to midas/tuffy/lentz? I want to get this taken care of Wed morning.

Tolman out in Allendale did good work on my car. I would just take it to the closest place and get it done.

Parker Brake, on the corner of Burton St. & Clyde Park Ave. have been in business for years (over 50 years) and have always had a good reputatiion.

I bought a rebuilt brake booster for Project DZ74 from them. I have not had them do work on my cars (do my own brake jobs) but if I had something come up that I couldn't handle, I would probably go there. Over the years, many people that I worked with at GM/Delphi (just down Burton Street a couple of miles) had their cars worked on there and I never heard anything bad about them.

Depends on how far away you are, near allendale?

          Hansen-Dyke Alignment Inc.
          4271 Lake Michigan Drive
          Allendale, MI 49401

Is it one of the metal lines that rusted out or a brake hose by the caliper?

I told you I'd help if you wanted/needed. But Parker or Hansen Dyke are reputable. Replace entire length of line.

It's his main break line that goes from the ABS unit to the rear of his car.
The main spot is right under his feet where it runs parallel to the fuel lines.

I found it when I did his headers and it was seeping then but when he came over Sunday and he would hold the break peddle down it would drip constant.

He's going to need the whole thing re done in my opinion.
