Depending on weight, tires, other mods, etc..

A lot come's into play with these kind's of threads. Weight, Weight Distribution, Traction, etc.. There's no real way to tell unless you do it.

Remove your sway bar, and all your heavy @$$ audio equipment and you might have a chance. If your on street tires, fool him into a burnout. NEVER warm up street tires, unless they're drag radials or slicks. The heat actually takes away they're "traction" abilities. Make sure you get the jump and feather the throttle.

same here. I was going to say I sure as hell wouldnt be afraid of a 99 cobra but everyone was saying he was gonna lose so i didnt know if i had my facts right.

The 99 is the slowest cobra made. I would be afraid of a newer one. 300-320hp for a 30k car? And look at how much people still pay for them now compared to what you can get an fbody for.

Stock for stock, drivers race, with the edge going to the cobra. That is from a dig. A roll race and he will definitely win, the 4v just flat out breathes a lot better. For now I think that you have him, again, as long as you go from a dig. You have to outlaunch him, and make him play catchup. Now, if he gets gears, watch out. That REALLY wakes up those cars, cause it takes them a little while to make power. Friend from work had one, we used to screw around all the time going to lunch. Very evenly matched.

Again I say you walk him pretty hard. You have a Full exhaust and geared LT1. Your car should be DEEP into the 13's by now.
