Well we got it allr eady to be able to just see if it starts we were going to break it in tonight but by the time we got everhting done it was already 10:40 so we just decided to start it. so we turn the key. the starter was cranking engine was cranking but not turning over. so around 11 we give up with thtat. got tired of advanced and re adjusting the timing without being able to use a gun on it. so we put it back at top dead center. check the distributor it was exactly 180 off. fliped it back around. one crank on the starter bam fired right up. i got it on tape just a matter of when i get around to putting it up.
but yeah It Runs. and it SOUNDS GOOD.....

this is a walk around of my vehicle in the air and back on the ground.
i used to be able to fit 2 fingers at most between the driver side tire and the top of the fender. notice how much space there is now. with the hood on it will only damper it down just a lil more. that means i ended up with less weight going to the v8 then i had with the v6

wow jerky vid, but looking good there in the engine bay. Yea the hood is going to bring the front down some more yet. You didn't change any suspension in the front?

only suspension change in the front right now is no sway bar, and the BMR kmember

nice setup, did you bounce the front to settle it? it may come down once it settles. You didn't have any of the suspension bolts loose and tighten them in the air did you?

only the Kmember basically and it had stands under it when we tightened it. we are going to retightene verythign in the morning after we change the oil on it before we run it trhough the gears from teh cam brake in. yes it will settle about a half inch to an inch. but its still goign to sit higher then it did before. even with me(200lbs) lifthing myself up on the radiator suport bar that goes accross the frame. not the actual plastic the metal it bolts to. it still was higher then it was with the v6. i did go from a 4 speed to a 3 speed i wills ay the th350 is quite lighter then the 4l60 hydro. and i will also say the bmr kemember is at least half as light as the stock stamped turd catcher that wasd on it before. all in all i will be between 50-100 lbs lighter im thinking we will find out after i weigh it.
everything will get double checked every nut and bolt that we removed and replaced and that would come loose during its tim eup in the air. before i drive it out of the garage and onto the trailer.
good news is i got a buddy that just got a srt10 ram and got a lil duel set up with him see what my 500hp engine and his 500 hp engine do together him a 6 speed viper trans to a dana rear end. min a 3 speed auto with a 7 3/4 10 bolt yard decoration.

yeah lol but his gearing in the trans and the rear gears are made for acceleration and higher top speeds/ he will run 13s no problem ill be low 12 high 11 im thinking. all depends on what i end up weighing.

actually those trucks supposedly accelerate like crap, but you still should do alright

I don't think it will be that close if you have your car dialed in with timing and all that good stuff

traction will be the biggest factor for you

yeah lol but i guess having 3.08 rear gear will give me a lil added traction but having an open now wont. so it evens it out. he will have traction issues to. if i cant hook he cant hook. but he will hook before i will more then likely. but if i take it slow off the line and wait till i hit second to floor it. ive got him beat still.
Neway I cant get he tach to work.
we hooked it up right the wire gets continuity so power travles from one side to the other and this means the wire is ok. its hooked up right to the box. no signal stays at 0.
power and ground are hooked up right on the tach so its not that.
then we decided it might be the box so we hooked it up to the coil like an old school car on the negative part of the coil. and Nothing.
Any insight would be great.
