VIN Placements?

Well, I'll explain the story the best I can. Before me and my girlfriend met; she bought a 94' Camaro Z28 convertible from a used car dealer. It had a clean title so she thought nothing of it.

When we first started dating and I worked on her car, I noticed Bondo, Bondo, and more Bondo. It's very extensive, I told her, that her car had been in an accident before. She said ok, not really thinking anything. Well I knew how bad it was by the look of the Bondo (it looks like someone painted it on with a brush).

Later on some kid hit her on the side of her car and put a hole through the sheetmetal, right behind the passenger side door. I went to fill the hole and to fiberglas over it, I noticed a varying 1/8-1/4" thick sheet of Bondo. I did my job and glassed it and bondo'd the hole up. After doing that I realized the whole side of the car was basically Bondo.

I got under the car the other day and had seen that the frame was re-welded together by what looks like a 5 year old. The inner wheel well on the rear passenger side has been re-welded, and well as her spare tire compartment. I cannot see anything else just yet. I plan on looking this thing over very thoroughly and seeing what I can do court-wise, seeing that the previous dealership had known it was wrecked, the car was never issued a salvage or rebuilt title, the damage was considered "minor" according to Carfax. Etc...

Now to the question: Where are all the stamps and VIN plates located on a 94' Camaro? I know the dash plaque Are there any under the carpet? Etc?

lol damn, Lucky my car only has 1 spot of bondo but im cutting it out this summer.

that is a problem with car fax, if there was no police report, then it would not show up in car fax. Sounds like an amature job. there are 8 # of vin or rear of engine block on drivers side also matching # on trans. won't have the last 5. There was a build sheet I think on the inside by glove box I think.

Yeah, I'm coming up short handed on where alternative VINs are located. Like my dad said, there's a VIN derivative located on the side of the engine block right above the oil filter and then again the same derivative on the transmission right next to the engine block's vin derivative.

Where's the RPO tag at? In the glove compartment? Should have the VIN.

Driver door, theres 2 stickers there, both should have the VIN on it.

Anything in the trunk stamped or under the carpet by the driver's side? I know some of my old car's had like 5 VIN's through-out.

It's so un-safe. Her convertible top is shifting now, it won't close all the way. Her passenger side door won't shut without hitting the bolt, and it's splitting off of the hinge. Her trunk doesn't like up.
