  • Cam of choice!!

What cam can I get that will give me good gains, but still allow DD manors? What all would I need to buy to go with it?

For a kit you can do a LT4 Hotcam kit. But do some research as there are better cams for the price. You can always check out Thunderracing.com too

LT4 Hot Cam kit is OK but I've heard a lot of things about the springs being suckage... maybe it's only if you do 1.6 rr?

Everyone seems to go with either the LT4 Hot Cam or CC503. AI also has a nice package, too.

AI is probably going to be the wildest of the choices, the 503 is a popular one. Id say mine is very DD'able, i wish idve gone bigger.

I'd do some research over on CamaroZ28...they have alot of good info on this. FYI, my CC503 is very driveable and i'm sporting the M6.

I'm going to be DD'ing a cc503 when my engine gets installed. Atleast, that's the plan. Honestly, we've named off all the options already.

LT4 Hot Cam - but I've heard about issues with the springs that come in the kit. Might only be if you do 1.6 roller rockers, though, but if you're doing a cam swap and replacing the springs doing 1.6 rr's only make sense.

CC503 - Most popular choice, it's universally recommended on CamaroZ28, LS1Tech, and LTxTech from what I've seen.

Advanced Inductions have nice kits that include pretty much everything that you need. If I could go back and do everything over again, I think I would have gone with an AI package because it just makes more sense.

Lloyd Elliot can also custom grind a cam for you - everyone loves his work on CamaroZ28 and LS1Tech.
