Spun Rod Bearing

My 94 Z28 has a spun rod bearing so im told. I have some friends that will help fix the car, what all will i need to be replacing? Or should i just replace the whole rotating assembly?

I'd just get a used LT1 There dirt cheap now a days. And go from there.

You could buy a used LT1 just a little more than fixing your current engine. Plus it will save you the time of rebuilding the engine you have. Actually, it may be a lot cheaper because you won't have all kinds of money wrapped up in machine work.

if your going to do it youll need

Full gasket set, main and rod bearings, crankshaft, possibly a new rod depending on its condition, piston rings depending on the current ones (may aswell while your in there),
spark plugs, soft plugs (may aswell easy n cheap), and all fluids.

alright, that was kind of what i figured. i found a whole rotating assembly for 600 with crank, rods, pistons and bearings i think im just going to go with the rebuild. I have never done it before but i wouldn't mind doing it, seems like a fun project
