Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Eek, that sucks. I can tell you this, I just had one replaced, and my unpainted new 1/4 was 800 dollars. Then there is the labor to cut the old one out, paint the new one, and weld the new one in. You are looking at a lot my friend.

ironicly i just repaired mine today
it was only surface rust so all i did was use an air grinder to get it off, use a little body filler sand that down prime and paint
X2 they want 2000 just to pull my dent thats the size of my fist.
bastards, I remember when body work was dirt cheap when i was a kid.
Just clean it up, Bondo It and sand it down and paint it, The corner is still there So you can do it, Mine was much worse I still have to finish my Low spots but other then that it looks 10x better.
The problem with patching it is that it's a stress point. I had both mine done last summer and this spring, it looks like nothing was done, rust is back and back in the shop it goes, while the motor's replaced. What it looks like happened is that the patch cracked and opened the inside to the elements. Not huge, but enough, after a little while, the paint came back off and there's the rust again. If you do go through with it, be damn sure you get it done right.
patching over the surface with fiberglass or bondo will give you 1 - 3 months. then it will be back, problem is the rust and decay on the inside you can't get to by surface patch.
