My car has 110k on it and I was thinking about doing the full seafoam treatment before my first oil change. Has anyone in Grand Rapids area done this and maybe willing to give me a hand.

Its not hard at all man.. Just disconnect the line.. Pour the seafoam in slowly little at a time then you want to quickly pour it in to try and stall the car. If it doesnt run and shut the car off.. Let the car sit for about 20min and if you use the TB cleaner.. go to town. Start it up and watch the smoke go crazy (its normal especially if it hasnt been cleaned good before) I had TONS of smoke come out of Yoshi when I first did it it was insane. I maybe let it idle for a good 10min, jumped in the car, took it on the highway and put my lil 6 banger balls to the wall then cruised lol. Watching the smoke come out on the highway was different.
Just that putting it through your oil helped the car but can cause a problem that was waiting to happen. I think it happened to Nick and his formula. But 110k I dont see a problem why it should. I did it through mine and I had about 170K when I did it and didnt cause 1 problem. Just need to make sure you do an oil change after about 150-200miles. If your due up for an oil change soon, you mid as well.
Dumping it into your gastank is just like running fuel injector cleaner through it
And I seafoam once a year. I dont think I am suppose to but I do alot of driving since this is my DD and rack up miles by the minute

Go for it... If you have a Vid camera.. Once you start the car after letting it sit capture the vid .... I have one of Yoshi but that was the 2nd time I did it and not as much smoke but still enough. I wont dump any seafoam in untill mid summer

lol, it doesnt take an ase master tech to do this simple little job.Originally posted by craig62989 View Postmike if we do it on like a sunday at my house my dad is a ase master tech who would be able to help us do it
I did this on my old firebird. I also did this on my friends lt1 formula and on another friends grand prix GTP. its super easy and if you follow the howto STEP BY STEP, you absolutely cannot go wrong. The brake booster vaccum line was very easy to get at and use. I never did bother with that seafoam deep creep stuff because I could never find someone who sold the stuff! But yea, otherwise its a super simple job, and your oil will come out as dark as satan. Sometime this spring/summer I could help you with it but its so easy you could do it no problem, just need a small funnel, and a flathead screwdriver if I recall.-Derek-
