well you don't have the slightest idea where to start with the gn motor either so its ok. DO RESEARCH! I cannot stress that enough look up any and everything you can, lots of people on this site neglect to do so all too often and it shows.

There's pros and cons to both scenarios.

If all you want to run is 6 psi, I'd say turbo the one you have.

But drop in the GN motor, and you start at 16 psi and go up from there.

If it was me, I'd do option #2...only running 6 psi seems like a waste for all the money you'll be spending regardless...

The site's intentions were to be a place to socialize - not to be condescending when they ask for help here.

I'm not trying to pick on or criticize anyone at all Brian, I'm just giving some advice. Do lots and lots of research and discuss with people on here about it and take advice from those who have done it before. Many people seem to jump into projects that are much bigger than they imagined and seem to seek advice but never take what is given to them because its either A. too expensive to do B. they don't like the feedback or C. they don't fully understand.

Understood - the part about people not doing it on the site and it shows just rubbed me wrong. Generalized statements about the site are taken personally.

I understand, not trying to point fingers or say anyone is doing this. Its just my pet peev when people get excited about buying parts or starting a project, then they do absolutly no looking into it and get advice that they don't wanna hear yet they go through with it anyways. If you gonna ask for help or advice use it IMO. Now I'm done with my rant.

It's not impossible, but at the end of the day I say you'd be better off looking for a high mile 20th Annv TA. JMHO

There's many reasons on both sides of doing something like this, but after it's all done you need to be comfortable having way more $$ invested than the car itself will ever be worth.

If you do follow thru with this here are a couple site the may be very helpful................

IMHO, cam and compression should be matched to what boost you want to make...valve train you could do now if you plan ahead...

yes boost does you no good if you cant get it into your engine. if the engine is relly that good of a deal get it take what you want sell the rest. save up for a turbo cam and head work. then put it all together. If your just kinda dreaming, save up for a cam.
