Twisted/Pinched fuel line

Ok so I bought a fuel filter & wasgoing to change it today..

After depressurizing the lines & jacking it up I crawled undr & noticed the line connecting to the fuel filter was a bit pinched in & twisted.. I tried un twisting it but dont know how sturdy they are. I didnt want to put to much pressure on it for fear of causing more damage..

Is there a way to expand it out a bit or do I need another line?

The line Im talking about isthe one with the O ring I believe . Feels like Nylon?The one going towards the engine...

Also the flare nut seems to be badly stripped whats a good step to get this off

If its badly stripped then a vice gripe is usually the only remedy on a tube line. If this is the same one with the crimp in it might be simpler to just replace the line with the filter then flare nut is non issue if I understand you correctly. The crimped line and the stripped flare nut are the same line going to the engine. correct?

If that were my car Rolo, I would replace the fuel line aswell as the filter. If for nothing else, like someone said for safety sake and piece of mind. The fuel line I'm sure comes as an asm. with flare nut, and at the engine you need to rent fuel line disconnect. Murrays has them they charge you then refund the price.

But it seems like for the price I would have to cut the old one off and replace it?IDK someone help me out

The dark red seems like the line that is pinched because if that is connected to the fuel filter from the little nut thats circled blue.. seems like a perfect match?

The purple outline is where it is pinched at on my car.

Rolo, How much room is between the filter and the part that is pinched?

What is the connection like on the filter on that end?

The piece that you found should work and they give you a joint connector for where you will have to cut the line.

About one inch away.. not even that.. The connecter or bolt W/E looks just like the one circled... after I change my rotors tomorrow.. Ill jack up the rear & snap a pic

kk,Trishas Uncle is bestfriends with a really good mechanic named Mike Phillips I believe so we took Yoshi to his house & lifted the car on his hoist

Dropped part of the exhaust ...found a nice exhaust leak, fixed that. Didnt have enough 2 1/2 piping cause the new cat was so damn smaller so he had some extra thankgod. Cat is all welded in pretty tight , no leaks

We got to the fuel line and disconnected part of the line that was kinked. The was no way that nut was going to come off. Its rusted in there pretty good. We have another line but not the correct fitting so after work Im going to buy a repair kit & heading back over about 6pm.

So at the end of the day everything should be good

I took pics with my camera but they are horrible quality..10x worse than PizzaMans
