        yeah, i heard that too. plus i cant before my cat, when i did my headers i welded the collector to the cat. my cat is gutted and strait piped through so thats not a big deal, i was woundering is there enough room before that bend?

            I'm not sure what the correct formula is but it similar to your muffler choice. A high flowing muffler will increase horsepower but usually they don't add much torque if any. I would thinki the placment of the cut out may add more torque at one spot and more HP at another.
            However I may be wrong.
            IMO people confused HP or Torque too Often. I would rather have a car with 300 ft lbs of torque and 100 HP vs a car with 300 HP and 100 ft lbs of torque.

              all i know is open header cars run like crap. I know if i do cutouts on my true duals Im going to put them after the x-pipe so i still retain the scavenging effect and thus get the maximum performance.

                                I bought my cobalt and I love it. It is very quick and what I love most is how great it handles. I do have a few small complaints but nothing major.
                                I do miss rear wheel drive!!

                                In some ways the camaro was more practical because the hatch opened.
                                Would I buy it again?....in a heart beat! However I still dream about owning a syclone/typhoon.
