Knock Sensors

So, I have all of the parts I need to do my LS6 intake swap, but I am thinking about putting in new knock sensors as well.

My car is a '98 and I have noticed some knock retard when there shouldn't be any while logging some runs with HPTuners. I have heard that '98 knock sensors can be a bit finicky.

I think I read somewhere that the later model cars had revised knock sensors as well as wiring harness. Is this true?

If so, what are the part numbers so I can look them up on SDPC or GMPD?

i know the 99+ are suppose to be less sensitive but i never heard of a revised harness, just call sdpc

U should do the LS6 PCV conversion while your in there, so you don't have to worry about oil consumption...which these LS1's often have.

my stroker had 0 oil consumption without it, for prolly the same price i bet even cheaper you can install a catch can and a breather and be fine.

The 99+ cars DO have a different harness. I would maybe ask someone on tech if the 99+ sensors can be used with the 98 harness. Alot of the other sensors cant.
