you could have misfired on 2 just because of the lag on 3...

speaking of misfires, my 1990 firebird been acting funny lately, they last guy who had my car didn't put the plugs in their little holders so one of them was touching the exhaust manifold. It had a wire loom around it that was damaged but the plug wire wasn't. When I give it about 5/8, it still accelerates like i'm giving it 1/8. As soon as I give it a little more its fine. Could it maybe be my system messing with it? Or should I just get new plugs and wires since its about time anyways.

Your problem sounds like it could be a TPS maybe? I've worked on a few Dodges like that and that turned out to be the problem

Reading all of this convinces me that my car has a fatty misfire. Score.
