    Hello,
I am in the process of getting my parts together to do a 5.3 swap. I am going with a T56 5.3 with an 03 Z06 Cam, so that I can use my procharger in the future. I was reading on the Z06 cam and found out that it has a smaller base circle than a normal LS1 cam will I have to get different size pushrods and how will I measure to get the right size??

    Thanks!
    Jack

Because the base circle is smaller you will need to use a 7.425 pushrod. A stock LS1 size 7.400 pushrod will work but they tend to be a bit noisier.

Mike nailed it on the head 7.425 is what I'd run.

you can use a comp cam measuring tool to find the correct length.

Its important to use all resources available to find the best length. Look at what other people are using on similar setups, but you should put most of your faith in what the measuring tool tells you to use

        here's the comp tool:

you want to use the length that has:

        1) the least ammount of sweep across the valvestem
        2) the most centered in the valve stem at half-lift

        in that order of importance.
