The stock Intermediate pipe ID for V8 Cars is 2.75". I know this because Both my `94 Formula and my `98 Formula had 2.75" I pipes.
I'm not sure on the V6 pipe size but I would gess it's around 2.5".

if you can get to your car and want to make sure...this is howi figured out what mine was.

get a measuring tape, like the kind women use to measure their waist. haha. wrap it around the exhaust, this gives you your circumference (C). for reference, (pi)=3.14 d=diameter of pipe(what you're looking to find)...then use C=(pi)d...d=C/(pi)...and there ya go, that's the diameter of your pipe! and that concludes today's algebra lesson folks. hope this helps

they go by the outside diameter of exhaust pipe. from the y-pipe back to the muffler is 3" OD. that would be the size you need for ordering the cut-outs. my car is a '94 formula, and we had it on the hoist right before first snow flew.

On a V8 the Y Pipe dumps out into the cat using a 3" pipe. The cat drops it down to a 2.75" and it stays that size until the muffler.

On a V6 I'm not sure about the size of the Y pipe but the intermediate pipe is 2.25".

                  I have a v8 and my brother has a v6. It helps.
