Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

I'm putting the TA away for the winter during Thanksgiving weekend, but I still need a car cover. I will be storing the car outside.
Does anyone have recommendations for a good cover?
I have been looking at a few fitted ones from JC Whitney that are supposed to be good out in the weather. Should I put something under a rough outdoor cover to protect the paint?

I have an all purpose car cover that I used on my old firebird. Its like 3 layers or something to prevent water and dust etc..Its not a special fitted cover but it fit my firebird well. Didnt scratch it or anything, i used it on my car for one winter when it was stored in our barn, my new car came with tom henry fitted cover. 30 bucks plus shipping and you can have it, I really dont remember what I paid for it but its BARELY used.

I WANT NOISE! SPEED! AN ENGINE THAT SHAKES MY INTERNAL ORGANS LIKE THEY GOT PARKINSON'S! I DONT WANT AN ENGINE THAT IS PARTIALLY POWERED BY MY LAPTOP BATTERY!

I think it is because I take it in and out all the time, the rubber has just stretched out, especially at the bottom where it is really thin. It annoys me more then anything.
I paid $200 for mine from the dealership. Stormshield covers are well worth the investment. Just make sure to get a cover designed for all weather that will breath. The thicker the better and maybe one with a soft inside lining.

Nah not too bad. The one I got was definitely worth the price and I would definitely do it again. There really is more to it than just the being weather proof and breathable. My cover also is 3 layers thick which makes it much stronger and has a softer interior than than those you would find in the lesser price range. Keep in mind this cover was OEM from GM and custom fitted to my car.
Cant remember where I bought mine, but its a fitted cover by wolf, fits like a glove, 3 layers thick and super soft on the inside. Very nice cover, they make several different ones, 1, 2, 3, and 4 layer ones too. There $80+ though, I think I paid around a hundred for mine, and its made from the "block it 380" fabric. Well spent IMO.

If hes not interested let me know, I may be in the market for a new cover.
1 hour too late, just shipped it out to him. If I was smart I woulda posted it up in my fall parts clearout thread, I forgot I had it though lol.
No Problem I wouldn't have bought it from under him anyway. I hate it when people do that. Thats why I said if hes not interested, I would be. :thumbups:
As my car sits now, it bought the wolf block-it 380 i think. Was like 160 shipped but fits great.
