  • Lt1 4th gen Emission Crap Question

I'm going up to flint today and getting my car from storage I am putting welded up bolts in the headers for the emissions and taking out the air pipes.

For the time being GHETTO, I ordered the right bypass bolts and I even Got the EGR bypass and all that spiffy stuff on ebay for 40 bucks.
Includes, Headers Bypass bolts, Intake manifold EGR bypass, and the tube bypass from the intake to the headers.

But when i unplug it all and i get the SES light will my car act weird thats all i want to know. I don't care if the light sits on i can get it tuned next week.

    thanks

My EGR was blocked off on my 3.4L v6 and it triggered the SES light after the car warms up and I was coasting is when it'd come on. It didn't make the car run bad at all. Actually, I felt like it ran 10x better because it wasn't having hot exhaust being poured back through the engine.

Just wait until the block-off plates arrive, it's much easier to do it once and be done with it. This is also a good idea because of where the plates need to go, they are at the back of the intake, which is kind of a pain to get to. . .
