No one is talking in here! The economy making people not want to work on cars or what?

Well thats the case with me so i figured I would start planning a project that I have no intention of doing in the immediate future, but hopefully in a couple years. I'd like to rebuild/restore the front end on my car so i started a plan. Any feedback is welcome.... and no i havent added up the cost. afraid to and it really doesnt matter right now this is just for fun

I am looking for things i may have missed from anyone that might have experience doing this.

I know why you haven't added up the cost...if/when you end up doing this, make sure you make a build thread

While I knew that was sarcasm, weekend project is a vast understatement.

Good luck with it, and keep us updated.

hahahha. the list is still growing even!

to be fair if i did this i would be sure to have all the parts prepped and ready to go, thats the idea of "planning" it. It would still take a couple weekends though im sure

They sell some good parts for suspension. I know a lot of people who have bought from them. Prices aren't too shabby either. While you're at it, you could probably pick up a LS1 aluminum driveshaft. Helps with torque because there's less weight, and therefore the engine doesn't have to work as hard to get it spinning, and of course your ride will be much smoother. You could also throw the battery in the trunk and put up a dual CAI. With a dual CAI you could pop out the fog lights, cut holes where they're at, install a billet grille and make your car ram air. You'd have to build your CAI yourself which isn't too hard, you'd just have to have 2 filters and make them low towards the ground. Just a thought.
