  • MAF sensor ?

Can a dirty MAF cause the raedings from the O2 sensors to go lean.

I just bought a used one and everything seems to work fine except sometimes when sitting at idle my AFR will go way lean on the wideband and during this time my scanner is showing both my O2 readings staying around 40mv. This only lasts for a few seconds then the O2 readings start moving again and my AFR goes back down to 14.7.
2002 v6 camaro supercharged with a powerdyne pushing 12PSI, I also have an aluminum driveshaft, headers, high flow CAT, flowmaster exhaust, HP Tuners, AEM wideband, throttle body spacer, PCV bypass, cartech adjustable FMU, timing control module (wich I don't need now with HP Tuners but I am not going to spend the time to take it out), 3.23s with LSD, Spec stage 2 clutch, Exon (I think that is how you spell it) Ground effects, P&P throttle body, and GTP 36# injectors.

I don't think a dirty MAF will cause the O2 sensors to go lean, but a faulty MAF can cause a lean condition which the sensors would report.

You're probably just seeing the computer making the correction.

worth a shot to clean it anyways. Tuning it didn't help?

What I described there ^ is not at start up, that happens now and then after the car warms up. I have not fixed my start up problems yet, I looked at what was available in the tuner to change but I have not figured out what exactly to change to make it more rich.
