  • An update on my car

Well, got everything on the motor tore apart besides the heads. Here is a little recap on all what we've found: cam bearings- LOL, it appears one is cracked and the others just junk. Crank- journal is scratched (not by us) and it appears it's cracked. Rings- LOL again, end gaps were almost lined up and end gap was like .060. Main bearings- WOW, amazing how much wear they showed. Needless to say I'm a little dissapointed, this all happened on a 1500 mile motor. I really would like to contact the guy that put it together..

Heh, maybe thats the reason you weren't making much power? That would be my guess.

From what I was told when I bought the car, the owner of the car's friend built the motor.
