Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

there is a guy who wants to trade my car plus cash his way for a 2000 camaro z28, it has a rs body kit on and nothing to you guys with them i just personally dont like them. i was wondering if its possible to take them off without damage to the body or how they are held on, i heard they were riveted but i have no clue.
whats the word? please inform me
i just dont wanna pay for a car that i need to alter that is all
they are held on w/ "rivets" (not really a rivet but similar). They will leave holes all the way around, rear bumper are not noticeable but front, fenders, rockers you can see the holes and you'll need to fill/touch up or repaint.
look closely at the lower bumper and you can see the clips in this picture:
Not to mention all the holes from the rear spoiler. There's 3 per quarter plus 4 on the spoiler itself. I don't get why people buy cars with the RS kit if they don't like it then rip it off. Just wait and find a car you like without them.

They are held on by little black rusty metal brackets and aluminum rivets all the way around.
On the front and rear bumpers I used a pair of cutting pliers (dikes) to cut / pull thru the rivets between the bumper and ground effect. It worked fast and easy. Damage was minimal.
On both rockers of the car you will need a drill + drill bit & disc sander.
Dikes won't work well on the rockers at all, it will bend up the metal rockers quite easily.
The rockers will need weld, sand, paint.... since they are metal.
The bumpers are plastic (duh), so no painting needed, leave em' holey.
Leave the spoiler lip to.
That's what I did.
I still have yet to get the holes in the rockers welded up / painted.
