Replacing turn signal switch on a 94 F-Body

I have searched and searched for start to finish real world instructions on how to replace the turn signal switch on a 4th gen car, guessing 1993 – 2002 are the same, but if they are not, I am trying to find the instructions for a 1994 Firebird.
I might just be having bad luck on my searches though.

I see a lot of people just go out and buy a new column from ebay rather than go through the headache of changing the switch. I just happen to have the new switch that the guy who sold me the car bought so I would rather go that way than spending the money.

If any of you know where the instructions can be found and would add the link to this post that would be awesome.
If you happen to know the step-by-step instructions and don’t have a link, would you post them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't see it being hard. I changed the one on my buddies 95 Bonneville by pushing it in, twisting it, and pulling out. Just like the old school tail lights and turn signal bulbs.

I am not talking about the turn signal lever, which simply twists in and out.
I am talking about the switch / electronic piece that the lever twists into.
