  • differences between LT1 and Lt4 mani?

the car that i bought has a red intake manifold. i a pretty sure that its a LT1 that someone painted but the list of mods that i got when i bought the car has not been the most accurate so i was wondering if there is anyway to tell the difference by looking at it? i researched this online and i found that if you take it off you can see some changes but i didnt know if there was a way to tell just by looking at it or not.

take of the throttle body i believe the lt4 has a 58mm intake, the stock maro has a 52mm, not 100% on that the lt4 is a 58mm but pretty sure.

Isn't the LT4 intake taller than the lt1?

Intake ports are bigger on the LT4.

i think a stock LT1 was 48mm so if i take off my throttle body will it say what size it is somewhere?

LT1 and LT4 Intakes flow similar numbers the big differences are the Port floor and Roof was changed in the LT4 to match the better flowing LT4 Cylinder heads which has a raised intake port.
