Can anyone tell whats going on here?

Ill give you a hint - its not just the "coil per cylinder." Its an EFIConnection project that was completed in July.

Yeah, no OPTI? Or does it still get used for timing like in other coilpack conversions?

the timing issue is one of the roadblocks for this setup. The engine you see there is using prototype parts to get those readings.

Not working on it kyle, just been following the thread and I am on EFIConnection's mailing list for updates on it.

That is amazing. . . I bet that engine is going to put down some very impressive numbers and open some doors (tuning wise) that we never thought possible. . .

I don't know about you guys, but I'm just hella intrigued about them having the entire engine running outside of the car like that. That's sweet..

yep thats the whole idea. HPTuners/EFI Live > any OBD1/OBD2 LT1 software. Believe me, ive been finding that out lately on my own car.

and of course no more opti

Hopes are that this company steps up and produces a kit. Even with custom made parts and harnesses, it would be much more cost effective than an $8000 Matco PCM. Hopefully they can get it well under 2k.

That would be pretty cool, LS1 tune-ability on an LT1 for under $2k. . . I doubt it will be that cheap, but it will really make people reconsider jumping on the El Es Juan bandwagon. . .
