i need some tips on what cam and roller rockers for my lt1 iam keeping stock heads and pistons and intake and what size fuel pump i need and injectors

  • #2
not to try and just sell my stuff but hands down the best stock heads cam is the cc503, i happen to have one for sale, also if match it with a set of 1.6 RR i have a set of those too
butyoull be more than thrilled with the 503, i ran it in my Z for a few thousand miles and loved it, ive never heard a bad thing about the cc503!

Stock fuel pump and injectors. You don't need anything additional for stock heads/shortblock. My '95 Caprice used stock injectors and fuel pump with ported aluminum heads, a Comp CC503 cam, and a stock shortblock. It ran 13.42@106 and weighed in at 4770 lbs.!!! ( I agree on buying his cam and roller rockers, by the way. )

Stock heads...go with the 503. Gives plenty of power while keeping the car streetable. You could keep the injectors stock...But for around $100 you could get a nice Walbro 255 pump, which is always a good idea to upgrade. You will also need rocker arms...1.6 recommended. valve springs and a few other things to upgrade when your in there are pushrods, lifters, timing chain etc.

as long as your car doesnt have a million miles, you can use your stock springs (not the best thing but they will work) and as long as you use self aligning rockers, if your car came equipt with the harder pushrods those will work too! i actualy use some of my hardened ones with my 847 setup! your duty cycle on your injectors with this cam and stock pump will be in the 77-80% range. ill even sweeten the deal! you buy my cam and ill come out and help you put it in! oh and you provide the beer

buy don's stuff youll like the 503.

Dont take our word for it though, a cam swap should not be taken lightly. Choosing a cam is chosing your engine's personality. Take the time to learn what the numbers mean.
