what will a hypertech tuner give me in hp increase. I have an opportunity to get one for 100 and all it does is advance the timing I believe.(for things to make hp) do you think this is a good buy. retail is like 350

Nope they are junk even for $100 might as well just save and go halves on Hptuners or Ls1edit. They are very limited and I doubt you'd gain anything noticable don't waste the cash.

second what jeff said...they are only somewhat useful if you have an auto cause you can up your shift points a little bit......only other thing you can do is speedo correct for different tire/rim sizes.....and rear end gear.....one or two other little things....not worth the $100 even really IMO

I had the same question about the hypertech. I got one from a guy who didn't want anything for it. He seemed to like it but I wondered if it would do anything for me. I have the SLP air temperature module that is suppost to advance spark. Which would give more of an increase in power? I actually noticed the module.
