  • Installed Manual Fan Switch

Well this afternoon I had free time and so I decided to finally make and install a manual fan switch. Really was quite simple I was shocked. Costed me around 8 bucks too . Now I can cool my engine down nicely at the track with my fan switch and 160* thermo. Rock on!

Now I need to install my walbro fuel pump, LCA and PHR poly bushings, slotted rotors, and buy an alum. driveshaft and I should be all set for the upcoming track season.

did u run it from the orginal relay or did u do it seperatly running off the battery then to the fans. just curiious hoping u have a inline or reg fuse in the circuit. always good to take precautions

I just spliced the two wires on the wire harness on the pass. side of the engine bay. Then ran those two wires to my switch in the car. Then grounded the 3 posts. So now I have high and low speeds for it. I used the instructions I found on an fbody forum to do it. I might have to dig them up again and put them on the tutorials section

that's awesome. Mine are pretty loud when I turn them on high with the engine off. Nice sounding hum.

how's the temp been? All teh guys on my s10 board who used those had the temps go up, they switched to taurus fans from the junk yard, just curious since I need a new fan for my '79 cutlass

cool, I'll have to do that with the wires I already have going out to my engine bay that are hooked up to a switch ( I used to have red LEDs in my headlights, but Crazy Glue is not exactly that strong when it comes to handling all the weather conditions. )

go out and get an auto switch? Do you mean programming to turn them on earlier?
