I would pass it up. Not worth it, to much work sounds like a money pit. Keep looking. Plenty of cars out there.

You should check out the latest issue of Michigan Auto and RV Trader. . . There are a couple of 4th gen V8 F-Bodys in there for less than $2500. One is a 93 Firebird V6 with a V8 swapped into it, for $1900, and there is a wrecked 94 Z28 with less than 100,000 miles and some front end damage for $2200. Check it out, you can get a good deal on it if you really want to. . . And I'm not braindead, I was just throwing in my opinion. When you're like me and have only driven V6 sports cars, any V8 is an improvement! lol

yeah I was a little excited though, when I called the place to see if they still had it all the guy said was like oh yeah its a good car it has very minor body damage and a little bottom end knock. so I was thinking all right thats not to bad but this car might have a chance thinking I work at a body shop and have a mechanic there to , when I got there I was like wow I never seen such a mess nothing on the interior worked except the dome light.
Yes I am going to contiue to look. All I see is cars with over100,000miles on them for like 5grand so it seems like ether way its like buy a car with problems or buy one that is a problem waiting to happen. But for the right price I think Ill take a car with high miles.

hell mileage isnt half as important as the type of maintaince and care the car has had. sometimes cars with 30k are less appealing than cars with 150.

as a detailer... trust me i know. hell, ive detailed cars "half-way" so the car looked realistically clean for a sale, instead of the 'you obviously had this detailed' look. you cant just go by how the car looks though, cause thats how dealerships (and other people) make money. a car can come in looking like total sh!t, and yet still come out of the detailing shop lookin like brand new after a rendezvous with a rotary buffer. long story short, you definitely gotta look past the paint. undercarriage rust, engine bay rust, and seal (windows) deterioration are other things that can offer you a good idea of what kind of life the car has lead.
