    That's a lot of money.

Then again, it's probably cheaper than replacing the Opti all the time.

considering everything else for the LT1 is cheap, its not bad.

I think what happened is the O2 sensor saw this leak as the motor running lean, so it dumped a bunch of gas in. Since it wasn't actually running lean (the o2 was coming after firing) this resulted in a lot of extra gas, and incomplete combustion, and fouled plugs. Every one I took out was black and reeked of gasoline. I'm changing them tomorrow night, and I hope it runs better. Taking the EGR off was easy, and it didn't backfire after, hopefully a good sign, but we'll see tomorrow.

tell me about it. Something was dying a slow death prior to my teardown and it was most likely the opti. That video was 2 weeks before it got so bad i wouldnt even drive it anymore.

well, it wasn't that egr leak! I've got the front half of the engine torn down, I'm going to replace the opti. I found a plastic bag between my radiator and AC condensor, that probably didn't help my cooling problems. BTW if anyone needs an AC condensor, I'll let mine go cheap. It's not going back on.

Would you believe that the car still started and ran, albeit poorly, with that opti? I drove 60 miles after it failed to get it home.
