What makes an RS an RS? V6?

Where can I get regular emblems to replace the z28 that I currently have on?

What's the cost of a new interior for a 96, and how hard would it be to do myself (never done it before). Also where could I see this online to buy?

The v6 model didnt have badging as far as I know. So you would just be removing the z28 emblems, not replacing them.

Not exactly sure on what makes an RS and RS, I think it was just a special appearance package by slp for the v6's only. All RS's were badged as so to my knowledge, and SOME years the base V6's said CAMARO where the badges normally go.

Also ebay is a great place to look for any kind of badges.

rs had the ground effects package for 96 and 97. 98 up dident have rs's but you could get ground fx's and they may have come standard with the y87 package which gave it 3.42 gears, duel exhaust outlet, and a z28 steering rack. as for the interior depends on how much you wanted to replace year one and ebay would be a good start. its not to hard.

they did but it was different than the 96-97 RS.

I have a 97 RS. It comes with ground effects, 3 pc spoiler, and RS badges. Gears/lsd are part of the y87 package, not the RS package. RS is an appearance upgrade

00-01 Camaro RS (maybe 2002?) SLP did make the RS, which was just Racing Stripes + Z28 muffler & Tips and 16" 5-spokes....nothing special

There was never a 4th gen with stripes that wasn't a 30th or 35th ann. And those were ss cars not rs. RS was stictly gfx and spoiler.

Y87 was the v6 performance package.

Standard features of the new RS package included a grille with a Chevrolet bow tie logo, one special interior plaque and three "RS" exterior badges and a dual outlet exhaust system with a high-performance muffler that added 5 hp and a more "throaty" exhaust note.

The RS was available on Arctic White, Light Pewter Metallic, Navy Blue Metallic, Onyx Black, Monterey Maroon Metallic, Sunset Orange Metallic, Mystic Teal Metallic and Bright Rally Red cars. The RS dual stripe package could be ordered in black for cars with exterior colors other than Navy Blue or Black or in silver with body colors other than Light Pewter or Sunset Orange.

You can find the RS badging on ebay. Seller tinylittlecars or found a deal has them quite often. I bought the RS dash badge and bought Muffinbuster stainless RS emblems from a 91-92 Camaro and put them on my 00 V6. I've also added the 3 piece factory spoiler.
